Pastors' Biographies

Chuck King, Pastor
Pastor King was born in Sag Harbor, New York, and lived in North Carolina and Texas in his youth. He entered the United States Air Force in September, 1982, and served for ten years. In July of 1991 he first attended Gateway Baptist Church after repeated invitations from a church member. Pastor Dwain Love visited in his home on Holloman AFB and shared the wonderful news of God's love with him. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savoir, was baptized and became part of the ministry of Gateway. He quickly felt God's calling on his life and entered Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, in September of 1992. Upon graduation in 1996, he was called as Associate Pastor of Gateway, where he served until being called as Pastor in June of 2007.
Dwain Love, Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Love was born in Corydon, Indiana. He had extensive training and great success in the field of dentistry prior to his salvation. Pastor Curtis Goldman and others from Temple Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico were instrumental in his accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1963. He served as Associate Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas, and Broadway Avenue Baptist Church in Boise, Idaho. He then pastored United Baptist Church in Spokane, Washington, and Bible Baptist Church in Twin Falls, Idaho before coming to Gateway Baptist Church in 1991. Through his leadership, Gateway witnessed impressive growth, both on the spiritual and numerical front. He spearheaded several building projects and faithfully served until his retirement in July of 2007.
